This role provides a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on how consumers sell their cars on our Marketplace. Reporting directly to the Director of Product, Trade, we are looking for an experienced Product Manager to be part of a transformative one-year contract with our team. As a versatile leader, you will wear multiple hats to drive the successful development and delivery of our new product within a 10-month timeframe. Your responsibilities will include:
Product Management:
•Grasp the broader picture, understanding the commercial implications of design and technical decisions.
•Balance the needs of car sellers and dealers when making recommendations.
•Use feedback from internal and external stakeholders, analytics, and market research to guide the direction of the product.
•Coordinates “go to market” activities with the pertinent Autotrader teams to ensure a smooth entry into the market.
•Conducts research and benchmarking techniques to optimize product strategy and performance.
•Establish and track product success KPIs.
Product Ownership:
•Translate requirements into compelling epics and stories for the development team.
•Prioritize stories based on: thoughtful analysis of customer insights and stakeholder input dependencies and delivery timelines.
•Lead key sprint activities such as story mapping and grooming.
•Actively participate in sprint activities like standups and retrospectives.
Project Management:
•Implement standard tracking techniques (e.g., burndowns) to monitor development progress.
•Identify schedule deviations and proactively suggest/mitigate plans.
•Escalate issues promptly when necessary.
•Support the tracking of project success KPIs by the Project Manager

•Comfortable presenting to Executive Level Management.
Preferred Experience:
•University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or another relevant field of study.
•5 to 7 years of Product Management, Product Ownership, or Technical Product Management work experience.
•Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, and writing.
•Solid understanding of working with consumer products on websites and mobile applications.
•Experience delivering a large-scale product development (i.e., at least 6-8 months of development) within a calendar year.
•Project Management experience or experience leading the planning, execution, and delivery of technical initiatives would be required as a strong asset.
•Experience in the Automotive Industry is not required but would be considered an asset.
