Banff Jasper Collection is looking for an innovative, dynamic, and accomplished recruitment professional in the hospitality sector, with proven success in building talent pipeline, developing sourcing strategy, and working effectively in partnership with multiple geographies and leaders.
We are looking for a Senior Talent Manager that will lead our Recruitment Strategy and Talent initiatives. With a passion to build relationships, and drive results, this leader will inspire, coach and support operations to efficiently and creatively identify and attract top talent throughout all stages of the talent life cycle. The ideal candidate has completed a post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources or Business, worked as a Sourcer/Recruiter for 3 to 5 years, and has strong leadership skills. This position will have some travel expected, and flexible work from home options will be available.
Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, the ultimate goal is supporting Company growth by attracting, hiring and retaining amazing, qualified Team Members who fit our culture.
Create a strategic Talent Acquisition Plan for Banff Jasper Collection in partnership with our Operation teams and Director of P&C that drives strategies for creative sourcing, headhunting and selection of top talent for our properties
Create a dashboard and analyze the effectiveness of strategies, providing regular scorecard of KPI results to the senior leadership team
Support and drive our hiring Diversity & Inclusion commitments and goals
Improve organization attractiveness, working with our Marketing team on planning around employment branding, digital & social media presence, and leveraging our unique jobs and selling our opportunities
Assess recruiting tools, technology and processes and continually streamline recruitment strategies and actions for increased efficiency and effectiveness with the intent to reduce the time to hire
Review, gather and report feedback and data to ensure regular enhancements for a seamless and world class candidate experience
Identify and create partnerships with local, hospitality, trade schools and drive our Summer Work Experience hiring programs
Develop new sourcing areas nationally & internationally and develop and maintain relationships with appropriate agencies to recruit
Stay current on industry news, trends and best practices as related to the Region’s talent needs
Support our teams by partnering with leaders to understand Talent hiring needs and tap into new talent and sourcing for tough to fill positions at line, supervisory and manager level
Develop, guide and coach the Talent team on new trends, to build expertise
Create and manage the Talent budget and forecast in partnership with business leaders
Follow departmental policies and procedures, including safety policies
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
University or College education in Human Resources or business-related studies
3 + years’ experience in well-rounded leadership role in People/Human Resources
Sound understanding of technical recruiting and headhunting strategies
Marketing and sales technique experience an asset
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships throughout business units and levels of the organization, as well with industry partners
Proven team leader, results driven, self-motivated with a high level of energy and passion for talent leadership
Excellent communication skills
Experience with the use of application tracking software, social media and professional networks
Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced, changing environment and handle demands simultaneously and professionally
Strong organizational skills, able to maintain a complex calendar, varied workload and keep exceptional attention to detail
Possess a humble, friendly, and fun personality
Ability to work on location in hotels, attractions with work-from-home options available as business dictates. Travel as required within our businesses, hospitality schools and wherever awesome, amazing talent can be found!
