POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, Organizational Transformation, Culture and Change, the Director of Change Management is at the heart of the Bank’s transformations, supporting the various stakeholders on the human aspects related to changes. This person has a strong strategic mindset and can have a macro view of the environment in which transformations take place. They are also an engaging leader who supports their advisors in their various initiatives and who plays a role of influence for their team. They develop solid business relationships and establish a climate of trust that facilitates problem solving. This person must, among other things, work in close collaboration with the other key HR groups, in particular the organizational development team, communications, talent development and HR business partners, as well as several functions of the company, including the IT teams, marketing, strategy, sales force, etc. Finally, they will oversee the portfolio management of our HR transformational activities.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Develop practical change management strategies to ensure project/program adoption;
Support CM advisors in their various projects and initiatives;
Implement consistent processes allowing the coordination of projects with the transformation office, the project office, and operations;
Assign CM advisors to different projects (ensure the best possible allocation depending on the type of intervention, duration, roadmap, etc.) and monitor project progress;
Ensure the development of team members’ skills in organizational transformations and change management: identify the right training and coach team members as needed;
Contribute to the development of the team’s tools, methodology and practices and ensure that they are respected and followed by all CM advisors;
Maintain and manage the list of projects included in our HR transformation portfolio;
Share best practices in their field and promote their adoption among team members;
Occasionally lead the Organizational Transformation, Culture and Change community of practice;
Perform performance reviews and necessary follow-ups of team members;
Develop internal relationships, position the CM team and promote its mission;
Be the guardian of certain key metrics, including organizational absorption capacity (or change saturation).
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A minimum of ten years of experience in change management or organizational transformations, including team management
Experience in various types of business transformation projects, including major transformation projects
Ability to position themselves at a strategic level of an organization
Ability to manage concurrent initiatives with several stakeholders
Excellent understanding of methodologies and approaches used in change management, organizational development, communications, adult learning, and project management
Strong analytical and teamwork skills; result-oriented and customer-oriented approach
Navigates well with ambiguity, and strong problem-resolution skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Bilingualism (spoken and written) in French and English
Experience in deployments in agile mode (an asset)
Recognized certification in change management (an asset)
