BBTV Looking for Key Account Specialist, Sports & Entertainment at Vancouver, BC Full Time

BBTV is seeking a passionate Key Accounts Specialist to support our top Content Creators (Partners) on our Talent Management team!

Reporting to a Key Accounts Lead, this role manages both our large and up-and-coming partners. You will be proactively providing 1:1 support for BBTV Partners to maximize their experience with BBTV, facilitate their inquiries, ensure their retention and close additional revenue opportunities on their behalf.

Responsibilities: *

• Support a portfolio of content creators in the areas of Sports and Entertainment. Help develop their online presence across multiple platforms as well as offer 1:1 account support with any issues surrounding their partnership.
• Maintain a proactive schedule of partner communications and strategies through various mediums.
• Support the Key Accounts Lead with ongoing NBA Playmakers initiatives involving your talent and otherwise. This may extend to other sports-related campaigns and initiatives, if and when applicable.
• Actively participate in recurring NBA Playmakers meetings (both internal & external), proactively contributing ideas and thought-starters while sharing insights relevant to your roster of talent.
• Support the Key Accounts Lead with various administrative tasks related to the NBA Playmakers partnership, including, but not limited to: Value add distribution & tracking, network reporting, custom footage requests, and other day-to-day tasks as instructed by the Key Accounts Lead.
• Responsible for partner retention including tracking and analysis across the portfolio.
• Focus on developing and implementing creative ways to help creators develop and achieve strategy performance goals on YouTube and other platforms (e.g., channel optimization, audience development, business growth).
• Respond to partner questions and concerns regarding ads and monetization, reporting/payments, partnership agreements, BBTV’s technology platform, copyright and community guidelines, and more, which may include communications outside core working hours.
• Act as a liaison across all departments within BBTV to facilitate initiatives.
• Keep up to date on industry trends and provide ongoing channel growth strategy to partners (e.g. programming, channel optimization and management, audience development).
• Identify strategic opportunities for your portfolio of partners to generate additional revenue streams and brand-building opportunities through appearances, merchandising, mobile app development, and licensing.
• Drive, measure, and segment partner performance using key metrics.
• Provide regular updates on partner development, initiatives and results.
• Work with BBTV’s Branded Entertainment division to identify BBTV partners to develop and deliver advertising campaigns on partner channels.
• Reach out & liaise with brands and media entities who work with influencers with the goal of securing Branded Entertainment lead opportunities for BBTV’s top-tier creators
• Meet sales quotas related to outreach and Branded Entertainment opportunities
• Travel as required to industry events and conferences to rep BBTV.
• Other reasonable duties as requested from time to time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in the video, media, or entertainment industry.
• External-facing customer interaction experience via Account Management, Customer Support, Sales, and/or Relationship development.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills with a proven ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Skilled in developing and managing client relationships.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal presentation, writing and delivery.
• A passion for sports, along with a deep understanding of digital marketing within the online sports community, with an emphasis on basketball, will be considered a strong asset.
• Strong knowledge and passion for pop culture and trends in the YouTube, Social Media space.
• Ability to interact at all levels of an organization, as well as cross-functionally.
• Effective and creative problem solving skills and a proven track record of proactively improving processes.
• YouTube certification in Audience Growth, Copyright or Content Strategy will be considered a strong asset.
