The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C. We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

The LDB Wholesale Operations team is responsible for the registration, procurement, customs clearance, selling and distribution of liquor products for the province of British Columbia. Our stakeholders comprise approximately 800 suppliers, over 1500 retail outlets and 8000 licensed establishments. Working in collaboration with our suppliers and agents, our vision is to provide a reliable and efficient service to support the success of our customers. There are five key divisions within the business; Supply Chain, Pricing, Imports, Customer Service and Distribution. Each of our teams work closely in alignment with each other to provide a seamless customer experience and deliver on our service goals.
The Distribution Centre is a multi-shift operation situated in a 400,000 square foot facility in Delta, designed to cost effectively receive/replenish/distribute alcoholic beverage product. Working in partnership with over 800 vendors and shipping to approximately 1500 retail outlets and licensed establishments province wide to deliver a responsive supply chain whilst focusing on exceeding our customers’ expectations.
The Senior Manager Logistics is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of an integrated transportation system to effectively manage the physical movement of beverage alcohol and related products from domestic and international suppliers through LDB warehouses, distribution centres, private and public retail stores, to the consumers in the Province. The position manages all outbound retail shipments and hospitality customer pick up area.
This position is responsible for managing the contractual financial and service performance for all carriers, ensuring the right product, at the right place, at the right time. Of equal importance are the responsibilities to develop and implement strategies to deliver against short- and long-term cost initiatives and target. The position entails a high degree of relationship building/management. Actively cultivating relationships, obtaining support and driving results to exceed customer service and on-time targets.
The Logistics Manager performs duties within general governmental and Branch policies within the regulations of the Liquor Distribution Act, and the B.C. Motor Carriers Act. The position liaises with Liquor Control and Licensing Inspectors, and various regulating bodies regarding the transport of beverage alcohol products through commercial carriers throughout the provincial of British Columbia.
The position is accountable for resolution of all customer service-related logistical issues such as on time delivery of customer orders and customer communication of challenges regarding product receipt or delivery.
Successful candidate will have the ability to travel overnight within the Province of British Columbia. A criminal record check is required.
