The Child Care Corporate Finance Branch provides a suite of strategic business and finance services for the Child Care Division (CCD) within the Ministry. The Branch works with the CCD to ensure compliance with corporate financial policy and legislation and assists clients in achieving their business and financial objectives. Working closely with CCD and Ministry Executive and divisional leads, the Branch offers a complete range of financial and management services to support CCD’s strategic direction and lead CCD’s system of financial administration.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Audit and Assurance, the Senior Auditor is responsible for planning, conducting and overseeing specialized audits of child care service providers and other funding recipients to ensure effective management of expenditures including loss prevention, fraud detection, compliance and deterrence of misuse of provincial funds for Child Care related programs.
The Senior Auditor contributes to the development and implementation of comprehensive professional audit policies and procedures including making recommendations to CCD for changes to policies and procedures and the development, training and supervision of verification and audit staff.
As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll supervise administrative and financial functions for district supervisors and staff providing important social programs to British Columbians. An efficient and versatile collaborator, you successfully establish and maintain important working relationships with a variety of individuals to complete work assignments. You have an outstanding eye for detail and ensure that all material and communication is consistently of high quality.

NOTE – A 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment (TMA) applies solely to the successful candidate with a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (including CA, CGA, CMA). The TMA will not be available should the successful candidate NOT have a recognized accounting designation.
