We are currently hiring an Associate Business Analyst – Insurance Business Technology based in our Head Office .
As a Associate Business Analyst – Insurance Business Technology (ABA) you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee our Insurance Business Platforms. Taking on the responsibility of implementing, enhancing, and maintaining our incident and release management processes, and enhancement and service request best practices. The ABA assumes a critical role in ensuring quality and supports business users in making self-serve and developer-led updates while growing knowledge on BCAA product offering and business rules. This role relies on a strong inclination for collaborative work and an entrepreneurial mindset to proactively deliver value. In addition, this role will work to transition the technical operational tasks for payment providers from finance to the technology area.

What you’ll do
Act as a central point of contact for all release-related activities and facilitates communication between the business stakeholders and external vendors.
Manage and maintain different testing and production environments, ensuring they are up to date, consistent and ready for release testing and deployment. Execute initial business acceptance testing to ensure functionality prior to approval with business areas.
Identify potential risks and challenges with upcoming releases, develop mitigation strategies and communicate to business stakeholders.
Collaborate with our external vendor regarding high priority defects and enhancements and aligning with SLA (Service Level Agreement) timelines.
Manage new and existing users in GW Policy Center and GW Billing Center
Review roles, permissions and authority limits for updates
Liaise with assigned business areas, to prioritize system work requests by focusing on corporate priorities and business value.
Monitor the daily progress of assigned tasks and prepares documentation for regular meetings.
Work closely with external vendors to ensure BCAA’s system related needs are met, and that changes are delivered and tested on time.
Moneris – maintain and manage users / store configuration / point of contact with payment providers / work with CTTO on security MFA and SSO.
Guide the configuration of POS systems, encompassing store setup and configuration, payment gateways, and user interfaces.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or management information systems or equivalent experience
4 years of experience in Business Analysis
Experience with work item tracking software, such as Jira and Confluence
Experience working in agile software delivery teams and managing backlogs to support both project based and iterative delivery
Bonus skill! Experience in Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire Billing Center, and Point of Sale solutions
