Summary
The Bell Mobility network radio team is looking for a dynamic and energetic candidate, who has a strong financial background, is experienced with capital and opex reporting, preparing variance analysis, both short and long term forecasting, combined with strong analytical abilities and a passion for results. The individual must also have a keen ability to drive financial process efficiencies, cost saving initiatives, and be able to communicate them to all levels of management.
Key Responsibilities
Support the radio business with detailed monthly financial reporting on both capex and opex
Analyze and report on variance analysis including insightful commentary and cost saving recommendations
Prepare weekly month-to-date and month-to-go outlook updates for the current month as well as official monthly, quarterly and year end forecasts to ensure targets are met
Perform regular analysis to identify trends that support decision making and the resolution of issues
Assemble inputs from the team to build both short and long range capex and opex budget builds
Assist in financial deep dives to provide clear analysis and insights to drive cost saving initiatives and improved business performance
Recommend and implement financial process improvement initiatives, identifying areas of overlap and efficiency gains
Develop, implement and maintain effective tools and processes for facilitating decision making linked to key operational drivers and financial metrics
Critical Qualifications
A university degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, or currently working towards a professional designation in accounting, (CPA, CMA, CA, CGA).
Experience in financial analysis, reporting and synthesizing data
Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to identify issues and gaps and possess strong problem solving abilities
Self-starter with demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and energy
Highly organized, results driven, and detail oriented
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Bell financial systems and processes including SAP is considered an asset
Knowledge of P25 public safety radio networks is also considered an asset
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
