Summary
The Labour Relations team is composed of several consultants with knowledge of Bell’s various collective agreements. Their primary mandate is to support the Network Technology Services and Technology, Operational Services, Bell Business Markets, Field Services and Media teams on all labour relations issues. Their goal is to provide exceptional support and service to our business unit partners and to strengthen our labour relations strategy at Bell.
Reporting to the Director, the Senior Consultant, Labour Relations will work closely with the LR consulting team as well as various business partners to insure an optimal management of our Labour Relations litigation. The Senior Consultant, Labour Relations will work closely with numerous business partners to evaluate the impact of legislative changes on the business and the changes that need to be implemented as a result. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to promote business objectives in an efficient manner with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for arbitration management and strategy for the province of Quebec and the Ottawa region
Represent Bell in the third step of the grievance process, during arbitration and in front of the Canadian Industrial Relations Board
Evaluate and make recommendations on various Labour relation files to business unit leaders
Assist in preparing and documenting arbitration and Canadian Industrial Relations files
Accountable for identifying upcoming legislative changes that are impactful to Bell and its subsidiaries, analyzing their impact and work with various stakeholders to implement the changes needed to the business
Act as a member of Bell’s francisation committee and responsible for managing and resolving employees issues related to Quebec’s Charter of French Language.
Work on different business projects
Possibility of leading bargaining tables when renewing collective agreements

Critical Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Creative problem-solving skills in relation to various human and business issues
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to rally different stakeholders to common interests
Rigorous, analytic and strategy driven
Possess global and multidisciplinary view of projects and issues to resolve
Experience in Human Resources, Labour Relations or Management of a unionized workforce
Demonstrate a strategic approach, creative thinking and exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Results-oriented with the ability to understand and communicate complex ideas clearly
Dynamic, self-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
University degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Travel as required
Off normal hours (evening and weekends) at times
