The ideal candidate for the Product Coordinator position exhibits high-energy, initiative and has a flexible, creative approach to working in a manufacturing environment, focused on results and continuous improvement. As this position is a growth opportunity, previous quotation work experience is not required as training will be provided. Incumbents will be exposed to general business, commercial quotations, manufacturing and aspects of engineering.
HOURS: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Responsibilities
Create commercial quotes for new and existing customers utilizing the internal cost breakdown of processes and materials
Develop and update cost matrix and complete detailed quote summaries for quote packages
Ensure customer quotes are standardized and meet customer needs
Provide customer service and related correspondence for all commercial issues
Maintain incoming purchase orders and changes verifying data through cross referencing
Resolve purchase order discrepancies and file all blanket purchase orders
Track research & development projects and resource expenditures
Develop, update and maintain supplier quote lists and suppliers manual
Attend Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) meetings
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in business, supply chain or related field
1-3 years of relevant experience
Superior communication, both written and verbal, is essential to this position
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
Sound judgment, planning and organizational skills required to tackle multiple projects
Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy/consistency of quotation packages
Sense of urgency and understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines
Experience working within an ERP system as well as engineering drawings is an asset
Manufacturing experience, preferably within the automotive industry
