At Axiom, we are committed to providing an internship experience that allows students a learning opportunity, to ask questions, be curious and jump start their careers in a challenging and engaged environment.

Axiom Builders is excited to offer several internship opportunities with our Virtual Construction team this summer (June to August 2023)! To view all internship opportunities, click here.
This summer, from June to August, Axiom is looking for a Virtual Construction Intern to assist the project teams to better service our clients by utilizing BIM technology to help build projects that exceed Axiom’s standard for excellence. During this internship, you will learn how to:

Support the Virtual Construction implementation process for all Axiom projects;

Perform quantity take-offs taken from BIM models;
-
Develop 3D Site Logistics and 4D Simulations to validate construction schedules and site approach; develop 3D animations and videos;

Develop 3D models of interior/exterior building spaces, for construction purposes;
-
Identify and manage conflicts in design documents using 3D analysis software.

Currently enrolled in a certificate, diploma or degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Engineering, or a related field;

Experience or academic knowledge of BIM software including Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.;

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and owners, architects, and subcontractors;

Strong understanding of full construction processes and trades (e.g., forming, glazing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.);

Ability to read and understand information found in construction documents, drawings, plans, and specifications;
-
Experience with concrete high-rise construction would be considered a strong asset.
