Bilian Energy is currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team. In the role of Financial Accountant, you will be responsible primarily for the consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and preparation of value-added periodic management reporting and data analysis.

In this position, you will:

• Consolidate monthly financial reports and data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including balance sheet reconciliation, profit and loss, internal management reports and cashflow statements.
• Manage the general ledger with oversight of the balance sheet, banking and inter-company reconciliation.
• Ensure assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses are accounted for ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
• Respond to financial inquiries by collecting data, analyzing and interpreting variances and summarizing to provide trend analysis and financial recommendations.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax specialists.
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
• Manage all accounting and bookkeeping functions.
• Proactively identify and implement new initiatives, process and efficiency improvements.

You should possess the following:

• A minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Bachelors or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation is a requirement.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
• Strong understanding of month end processes and internal controls.
• Ability to perform data and statistical analysis to spot trends and abnormalities.
• Detail oriented for analysis and account reconciliations.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset.
