We are excited to grow our team with a full-time role for a Solutions Consultant specializing in our solutions for Finance & Operations.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Solutions Consultant is primarily responsible to support the sale of Binary Stream products through the pre-sales phase of the sales cycle. Customer facing, the SC is a trusted advisor to our partners and end-users, leveraging their knowledge of our portfolio of solutions for Finance & Operations. The SC will be required to assist with needs discovery and analysis, requirements mapping, and delivering effective demonstrations to partners and end users. The SC often acts as a bridge between Partner SI’s, End Users and the internal Binary Stream team. In this role, the Software Sales Engineer must continually strive to be an expert across all Finance & Operations Binary Stream Software business solutions.

A typical day as a Solutions Consultant:

• Support Binary Stream Software Partner Success Managers with deep solution specific expertise across D365 Finance & Operations.
• Work in conjunction with Partner Success Managers to support the sales process by delivering end customer tailored product demonstrations.
• During the sales process gain an understanding of end customer requirements and business workflows. Document key end customer requirements and have sufficient product knowledge to be able to also document those requirements that may require product enhancements or customizations.
• Work to reduce the length of the sales cycle and increase sales volume.
• Work with the product development team to assist in the prioritization of end customer specific, and product roadmap, feature requirements, conveying ideas effectively internally.
• Create and deliver technical and education presentations for Binary Stream solutions; both in-person and webinar delivered.
• Work in conjunction with the marketing team on creating, updating, and improving collateral.
• Support new and existing clients in an efficient and confidential manner.
• Through interaction with Microsoft partners and customers capture emerging requirements and recommend product ideas for inclusion into development cycles (including new feature sets and enhancements).
• Maintain and promote ethical relations with clients and partners.
• Participate in select trade shows and partner visits, which can involve international travel.
• May require travel up to 5% per year.

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of ERP systems, CRM or other Business Software.
• Understanding of accounting principles and accounting compliance requirements as they may relate to BSSI products, such as, ASC 606, ASC 842 and IFRS 15.
• Intermediate mathematical skills re: costing / estimating projects.
• Intermediate to advanced presentation skills with the ability to clearly demo BSSI products in front of customers.
• Proficiency with technologies such as remote collaboration tools i.e. VPN, Go to meeting, webinars and adept to emerging technology tools.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business and/or Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of ERP/Business Software implementation, Presales Consulting or related experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of accounting and finance.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:

• Understanding of Microsoft channel and partnerships with Value Added Resellers (VARs), System Integrators (SI’s) and the Microsoft Integrated Software Vendor community (ISV’s).
• Previous ERP platform experience is preferred in D365 Finance & Operations (AX).
• Previous ERP consulting / training is preferred (mid-Tier / Tier 2 ERP).
• Accounting designation (CMA, CPA, CA) or equivalent educational and work experience.
• Microsoft Certification in D365F&O.
