Game Economy Designer
We are looking for an Economy Designer to join our growing Game Systems team working on the next Dragon Age game. Reporting to the Lead Economy Designer and Game Systems Director, you will help shape the progression and economy in a modern RPG, with a focus on player autonomy and expression.
Remote and work-from-home options are available for this position.

Responsibilities:
Design flexible economy systems and features aligned with the game’s creative direction. (example: progression & reward structures, loot, merchants, crafting, etc.)
Create game economy models and evaluate their performance & impact on the player experience through the lens of a modern RPG.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate your designs.
Balance and adapt your work based on play-test results, production constraints and feedback from across the team.
Write and maintain design documentation to be a reference to guide interdependent teams.
Break down and present complex models in digestible formats that give different disciplines the information they need to accomplish their work.
Develop a plan for collecting player telemetry to evaluate the player experience.
Participate in knowledge sharing sessions, and mentor junior designers to develop a broader understanding of economy modeling techniques across the Design team.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of progression/economy experience on 1 shipped title. No AAA experience required.
An understanding of player motivations, intrinsic challenge & extrinsic rewards as they relate to different game genres.
In-depth knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets related to data modeling.
Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal/Unity/FrostBite.
Translate analytical findings into relevant recommendations.
