Job Summary:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the ideal candidate for the role of Recruiter will exhibit a passion for attracting quality talent with an ability to deliver results. Possess good organization and communication skills combined with a strong customer service orientation. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall recruitment and onboarding process from creating job descriptions, job postings, sourcing and screening candidates, participating in interviews, checking references, verifying pre-employment conditions and requirements, preparing and presenting offers, communicating with candidates and conducting new hire orientation. The incumbent will be required to have high attention to detail, with excellent time management and organization skills. This is a permanent, full-time position based on eighty (80) hours bi-weekly and located at the Fort McKay Incubator Park.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify current and prospective staffing requirements.
• Prepare and post notices and advertisements.
• Drive the talent attraction activities.
• Promote job opportunities and actively recruit potential candidates.
• Support recruitment and onboarding needs for operations.
• Pre-screen candidates.
• Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
• Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews, coordinate and participate in selection.
• Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
• Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Maintain records to track and organize interviews, pre-employment requirements and onboarding.
• Complete weekly reports on recruitment process.
• Support the HR team with administrative functions such as maintaining accurate and complete personnel and recruitment records.
• Deliver a high quality of internal customer service to the organization’s operational groups.
• Identify and implement recruitment strategies to effectively source and recruit employees.
• Participate in the implementation of creative new and existing recruitment initiatives and strategies to maximize the pool of potential candidates both locally and notionally.
• Work with staffing agencies to organize temporary workers for short term contracts or coverage for vacant positions as needed.
• Develop and maintain Indigenous employment initiatives and reporting requirements to Management.
• Work closely with operations managers and communicate regularly to determine effectiveness of recruitment plans and status.
• Work with operations managers to relocate staff to new divisions when necessary.
• Research and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Complete and report on employee exit interviews.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality of employee and company information.
• Occasional travel for recruitment required.
• Other duties as required.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 1-3 years of Human Resources Experience specifically related to Recruitment preferred.
• Post secondary degree or diploma in Human resources or a related field.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Customer Service experience considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• CHRP designation considered an asset.
