The Williams School of Business at Bishop’s University (Sherbrooke, QC) is currently seeking to fill one tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Human Resources field, beginning July 1st 2023.
The preferred candidate for this appointment will hold a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management (or a related discipline). Candidates must have demonstrated the potential to excel in teaching in human resource management and CPHR (Chartered Professional In Human Resources) designation related courses and superior research capability and potential, as well as a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students. Preferences will be given to candidates who display experience and interest in any of the following areas: Human Resource Management, Compensation, HR Strategy, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), Organizational Change, and HR technology and analytics. Strong commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate level, use of case studies, advising, service and professional development is also expected. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to a liberal education model and to applying principles and practices of equity, diversity, and inclusion in their teaching, mentorship, and research.
A completed Ph.D. or D.B.A., with an emphasis in strategy or related fields, is required for tenure. Candidates whose dissertation defense would be completed by the beginning of the probationary contract may be considered. The candidates must show strong potential for teaching, research and scholarship consistent with the mission of the University and the discipline of expressed expertise.
