Welcome to our practice! We are a clinic in Abbotsford associated with Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, providing medical care and support to the community. We are a family practice during the week and we run a walk-in clinic (Please check with Medimap) as well on Saturdays. We can also set a patient up with a doctor virtually. We assist the patient in setting up an appointment with a doctor over the phone or through video chat. We will have another physician on board starting in September 2023, where more hours may become available. We are a growing business hoping to expand with more doctors on our team and possibly more walk-in opportunities in the future.
Job description
Our team is looking to hire a part-time MOA for Saturdays and holiday/sick relief (start date: as soon as possible).
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred but not necessary
- MOA certified preferred
- Juno or Oscar EMR experience preferred
- Medical billing experience is an asset
- Reception, clerical experience
- Must be available to work all Saturdays
- A team player that can also work diligently alone
- Multitasking skills
- Time management skills
- Able to work in a fast pace work environment
Hours would be mainly for our walk-in clinic on Saturdays, minimum from 9-1pm but must be available to work from 8-3pm if necessary. If we require you to come in during the week the hours would be from 8-4pm.
Computer and tech savy is a bonus as most of our work is done on the computer, especially in regards to assisting patients booking with the virtual clinic.
Outgoing, professional, organized and customer/patient focused is a must.
Start Date: to be determined, hopefully within the next month or sooner.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4-7 per week
Salary: From $17.00 per hour
