BlueRock Logistics Canada Looking for Information Technology System Analyst at Toronto, ON Full Time

The position of IT Systems Business Analyst relates to the international roll-out of our operational and analytical platform. We are creating a world-wide standard for large and small companies. You will be part of our Customer Success team in Toronto (Canada) and work closely with customers, software developers and modelers in implementations, pre-sales and in the continuous further development of the software, the algorithms and the user interaction.

This role includes the following key responsibilities:

• Analyzing and defining business processes and writing process specifications.
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Writing detailed specifications and issues for programmers.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
• QA of new processes and systems.
• Implementation and training users as well as support after going live.
• Being a liason between the business and IT for technical/sales projects; meeting with business partners to determine current and future needs.
• Facilitating (or co-facilitating) information gathering sessions with business and/or our technology partners (requirements gathering, helping with cost benefit analysis, etc.)
• Identifying and leading the resolution of project issues; devising effective ways of reaching project objectives in the most cost/time-effective manner while taking into account unique business conditions
• Preparing and communicating project plans and reports
• Supporting a healthy work environment that promotes excellence in customer service, quality, innovative thinking and strong teamwork
• Coding/Programming background is a major asset.
• Working knowledge of SOAPUI, MySQL is an asset
• Good understanding of business analysis principles, processes and techniques
• Highly analytical and good understanding of databases, technical architecture and query tools
• Experience gathering requirements, system analysis and creating technical specifications
• Ability to effectively convey ideas to business and technical teams
• Experience working in Agile/ Lean delivery teams
• Ability to adapt and quickly adjust to change
• Ability to work with cross functional teams
• Should be a team player and work collaboratively
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
