In your role, you will

• Owns, defines and maintains the Cloud architecture standards, technology roadmap, policies, architectural principles: this includes the mindset of 1) Cyber first and Interoperability guidelines 2) standard technology building blocks framework for cloud solutions 3) key technology requirements reflecting Bombardier Business Strategic priorities as approved by BIS Leadership team and CIO.

• Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and services that meet the needs of the organization within budget constraints, security requirements, and compliance regulations.

• Ensure end to end Cloud technologies are interoperable and accessible, that will integrate across Bombardier infrastructure and legacy systems adhering to cyber security, data privacy and total cost of ownership mandates.

• Design cloud-based architectures integrating multiple hosting solutions that support the organization’s business processes and workflows, and integrate with on-premises systems and services.

• Establish technology innovation, assessment, and adoption framework in strong partnership with peer groups across Automation, Analytics, Collaboration, Data Management, and User Experience platforms to deliver user centric operating experience and design thinking

• Define cloud-based security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s assets and data in conjunction to overarching Enterprise Cyber Security policies.

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture standards, guidelines, diagrams.

• Support Cloud infrastructure budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses, and optimizing costs across the organization.

• Understand LOB overall applications portfolio, IT and business priorities and success criteria to design cloud data solutions using PaaS, DevOps & Advanced Application integration

• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and recommend improvements to the cloud infrastructure and strategy roadmap as needed.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other IT team members, including cloud solution architects, engineers, and administrators

As our ideal candidate

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineer or related field

• You have 10+ years professional experience in an IT role.

• You have a minimum of 5 years experience in designing and implementing cloud-based architectures, including cloud storage, networking, security, and compute. on AWS and/or Azure platform. Experience of multi-cloud platforms integration preferred.

• Certification in cloud solution architectures and/or Cloud Security Professional

• Experience in managing and designing enterprise-level IT systems and architectures.

• Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based architectures, including cloud storage, networking, security, and compute, at an enterprise scale.

• Experience in hosting and/or exploiting cloud services such as IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, SaaS across multiple clouds.

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and experience in developing enterprise-wide architecture roadmaps.

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and configuration management tools, such as Chef or Ansible.

• Knowledge of compliance regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, GDPR, or PCI-DSS, and experience in ensuring compliance across the organization.

• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and experience in designing and implementing high-availability solutions.

• Familiarity with agile and DevOps methodologies and tools.

• Familiarity with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.

• Understanding of cloud-based automation and orchestration tools, such as Jenkins or Kubernetes.

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to collaborate effectively with other IT teams and business stakeholders.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, to work effectively with other IT teams and business stakeholders.

• Ability to stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and to recommend improvements to the cloud infrastructure as needed.

• You have leadership and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management, Database administrators and Data Scientist).

• Proficiency in English and French both verbally and written (prefered).
