Product Designer:
As the Product Designer, you’ll lead the execution of user experience design leveraging a variety of user-centered methods, processes, and tools to facilitate the delivery of new features, enhancements and products that serve the most prestigious clients in the Spa and Wellness industry. You will work with team members from a variety of disciplines, including researchers, product managers, engineers, and leadership. You’re an individual who loves a good challenge and wants to work with a small, passionate group that embraces out-of-the-box thinking to solve business problems. Your love of sharing innovative solutions to complex problems is second nature to you.
The Job Description:
Lead the design process from concept through to successful product release by working collaboratively with a cross-functional team, particularly product managers, developers, and QA
Expertly provide systems-level designs to platform-driven challenges and initiatives
Develop your ideas and illustrate concepts using personas, mock-ups, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and other core design tools to effectively communicate interaction and design details
Ability to wear multiple UX hats, including some visual design, user research, and UI development
Provide persuasive, user-centered insights to leadership and peers that are based on data, best practices and research, ensuring the customer experience is prioritized throughout the life of the project
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and help define functional requirements, specifications, and user stories
Design consistent and seamless user experiences across all our products and user touchpoints regardless of device.
Collaborate, influence and bring forward new concepts, industry best-practices and opportunities to improve our platform and products and solve complex problems
Contribute to design team processes and deliverables, including development of user experience standards, tools, and design system management.
You will bring with you:
5+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Design, Development, Engineering or related field
Strong experience designing B2B and B2C products
Excellent experience creating high-quality user-centered design artifacts (e.g. process flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence and coach to the implementation of proposed solutions
Strong knowledge of UX/UI design methodologies
Solid experience in visual design, user research and UI development
Experience working with a design system, adhering to system standards as well as contributing to its evolution
Experience leading teams in design thinking and/or design sprint methodologies.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Invision, Zeplin, and Adobe Suite
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is an asset
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and foster business relationships.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills
A portfolio showcasing a user-centric, systems-oriented process, with examples in responsive web design and mobile application design
