We are looking for our next Clinical Counsellor / Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join the team in Vancouver, BC.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, you play a crucial role in helping elementary-age children with ADHD, and their families overcome challenges and reach their full potential by supporting children in making a fast shift from frustration to empowerment.

Counsellor Compensation and Benefits
- Starting at $32.70 – $35.10 per hour
- Full-time 30-40 hours per week
- And our clinic is closed for two weeks in both winter and summer
- Commission potential based on high-performance
To be successful as a counsellor, you need to have:
- Excellent writing skills, conforming with APA styleand case consultation standards
- Demonstrated skills in assessing children’s developmental disorders
- Skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children’s (ages 6-12) mental and cognitive conditions
- Skills in cognitive and mental health assessments and group counselling
- Proficiency in general computer and telehealth applications with up-to-date liability from the board
- Current registration in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC or CCPA, CPCA) with a minimum of 1-year or more than 1000 practice hours. Maintain appropriate professional liability coverage.

As a counsellor at the Breakthrough ADHD Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include:
Reporting
Completing accurate and detailed assessment reports, treatment plans, and clinical outcome reports and ensuring they are kept up-to-date
Session Management
Conduct psychosocial, cognitive, and developmental assessments and provide therapeutic counselling and skill-building services to patients and families in various settings and modes.
Client Care Management
Participate in and conduct case management meetings with an interdisciplinary team to develop and coordinate comprehensive care plans and community services for patients and families.
Intervention Management
Implement interventions for elementary school children with individual and group sessions, educate family support members to improve mental health and coping skills, promote community resources, and identify appropriate referrals to other clinicians.
Program Improvement
Participate in organizational, program, and team activities to improve and optimize the delivery of patient-centered, cognitive, and trauma-informed care and facilitate evidence-based practice.

Where is the location, and what are the work hours?
- Tuesday – Friday 10-6, Saturday 9-5
- 30-40 hours per week
- In-person, in Vancouver, BC, with flexibility for partial at-home work
