Position and Responsibilities
The technical services department is looking for an individual who would like to be part of a team that will provide design solutions to Cameco operations and other business units and support the development of key mechanical engineering deliverables including data rich 3D models, drawings, specifications, data sheets, bid and construction documents. In addition to performing mechanical design, you will be responsible for supporting the integration of mechanical and piping designs in Building Information Modelling process and hence enable construction, commissioning, start-up and eventually transfer to operations.
Reporting to the Lead technologist, mechanical, you will be responsible for mentoring and training of junior employees, peer review and oversight of the design work performed by other team members, and overall mechanical CAD and drawing development coordination on large projects. You will ensure all work is done in accordance with Cameco’s processes, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements to meet the required quality.
