Canada Life Looking for AVP, Dealer Distribution at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

The AVP, Dealer Distribution is responsible for supporting the Quadrus President and CEO role across a number of initiatives and projects to support the evolution and operation of the Quadrus Investment Services Ltd. dealer.

What You Will Do

This executive role will be responsible for directly leading select initiatives, programs and projects across the following themes:

• Working with Quadrus President and CEO to develop business vision, strategies and strategic roadmaps aligned to client & advisor value propositions and journey maps.
• Development, delivery and implementation of the evolution of our multi-year business growth strategies including our practice management initiative.
• Representing the Quadrus dealer in pending multi-year integration workstreams related to business acquisitions. This responsibility would require the AVP to work across all wealth and insurance business lines and functional groups within the organization.
• Large scale operational enhancements working with middle-office and back-office leadership teams
• Technology enhancements which require dedicated executive business leadership and the requirement to partner across the organization’s functional and business leadership teams
• Responsible for engagement with new and existing vendors to support initiatives and projects for which the AVP is responsible.
• Responsible for working with advisors across Canada as a conduit for business intelligence and advisor experience feedback to drive strategic thinking and decision-making on projects and initiatives.

• Ability to lead large projects and initiatives
• Ability to lead and communicate effectively in a matrix environment
• Deep knowledge of the wealth management business, securities products, functions and industry regulation
• Process orientation, analytical mindset, and the ability to synthesize data and information.
• Ability to think both strategically and operationally
• Ability to develop and deliver strategic materials and presentations to senior executives
• Broad understanding of technology, tools and resources available for use by advisors in the wealth management industry and the ability to translate business requirements to technology teams
• Experience and understanding of wealth management distribution and advisor practice sales and client engagement models to support the development of strategy.
