We are recruiting on behalf of a large private company, with global operations, who’s North America finance team is based in Toronto. They are seeking a recently qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from a large accounting firm for this position.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

• Ensure a smooth/effective execution of annual financial statement preparation
• Provide management and executive reporting and analysis including variances and related commentary
• Coordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures
• Project involvement and support for transformation, process improvements and automation initiatives

The Company is offering a strong compensation package including an attractive base salary, annual bonus entitlement and strong RSP contribution program. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (completed CPA requirements)

• 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting

• Experience auditing public companies under IFRS

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency

• Complex accounting experience
