CAUT is a progressive labour and professional organization representing more than 72,000 faculty, librarians, researchers, academics, and general staff at 124 universities and colleges. Reporting to the Director of Political Action and Communications, and under the coordination of the Senior Organizing and Education Officer, this position is responsible for managing CAUT’s education program, including developing, coordinating, and implementing innovative programs to enhance member capacity and close skills gaps. The incumbent has demonstrated expertise in adult education design and deployment and a familiarity with emerging educational and instructional technologies.

Location and Hours of Work:
This position is based in Ottawa and is not a fully remote position. The candidate must reside within or be willing to relocate within regular commuting distance of Ottawa.
The position normally works 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday); overtime may occasionally be required.
Compensation
This position has been classified as Category 4 in the Collective Agreement between CAUT and COPE Local 225. The current hire rate for this category as of July 1, 2023, is $121,323.00.
