Job Summary
The Human Resources Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering projects within CN’s Human Resources (HR) function. The incumbent sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, ensures accurate allocation of resources, leads multidisciplinary teams and monitors the progress of various projects. The position requires building and maintaining relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in projects.
Main Responsibilities
Project Management – 60%
Leading business improvement initiatives – 40%
Create and validate the current and future state business processes with HR stakeholders
Analyze processes to identify optimization and automation opportunities
Document, evaluate and conduct cost-benefits analysis for opportunities
Perform benchmarks and best practices reviews
Develop business optimization recommendations based on thorough quantitative analysis and present them to HR stakeholders
Provide implementation support in defining implementation strategy and plan as well as solution roll out
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress.

Experience
Human Resources and Information Technology
o Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role and overseeing deliverables
o Minimum 5 years of experience in project management
o Minimum 5 years as a Business Process Analyst

The Human Resources Project Manager is responsible for ensuring coordination and completion of projects. Although the role does not have direct high-level decision-making authority, the work itself has impact on the organization. The incumbent is authorized to make day-to-day decisions related to the ongoing projects. The incumbent must request approval for spending or for changes in project scope.
Level of Interaction/Influence
The Human Resources Project Manager interacts with individuals internal and external to CN. Within the organization, the incumbent liaises with various HR stakeholders on a regular basis to execute projects. Outside of CN, the position liaises with solutions vendors and partners assisting in the realization of projects.
Employees Supervised/Organizational Structure
The Project Manager reports to the Senior Human Resources Information System Manager. The role has no supervisory responsibility.
