Who we need
Reporting to our Director, Human Resources Operations, we are looking for a Bilingual Human Resource Administrator to join the team in a hybrid role based out of our Toronto location. You will act as a critical point of support for the HR team, manage the end-to-end administration across the full employee lifecycle, and update, maintain and report on data and information in DayForce and SharePoint. In addition, you will screen, prioritize, and respond to employee requests related to the HR function.

What you will do
Maintain HR data and administration. You will:
Enter and maintain all HR data into Ceridian Dayforce and HR-related content into SharePoint.
Liaise with payroll administrator to ensure all payroll data is submitted on time and accurately and process updates.
Collaborate with benefits administrators to provide new or updated employee information.
Maintain all employee and contractor files while ensuring confidentiality.
Provide various routine reports weekly, monthly and quarterly to multiple stakeholders.
Conduct and present research results for special projects or initiatives.
Track employee lifecycle data and information. You will:
Manage the employee lifecycle in Ceridian Dayforce, including new hire profiles.
Process pre-employment checks via a third-party vendor, track the status and follow up.
Coordinate and track new hire documentation and onboarding plans, including employment contracts and signing process, setting up welcome, and collaborating hardware and software access with the IT department
Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and offboarding, orientations and benefits sessions.
Assign new hire compliance training and ensure completion.
Directly support employees. You will:
Prepare staff vacation entitlements, employment verification, status change, and service awards letters.
Support employee recognition programs and educational assistance.
Maintain the HR shared mailbox, respond to general inquiries and escalate when needed
Help coordinate employee events and activities.
Draft town hall presentations and HR communications.
Identify service improvement areas as needed and suggest ways for improvement.
What you bring:
The education. You have a diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field.
The experience. You have 1 year of work experience or 2 co-op terms supporting Human Resources. You take ownership of your work and its impact on the organization. You can adapt to changes in priorities and the demands of competing deadlines. You are proficient with MS Office Suite.
The interpersonal skills. You have professional written, verbal, and presentation skills in both French and English. You are service-oriented, patient, and empathetic. You can build collaborative relationships across the organization, contributing to a positive remote and in-office workplace culture.
