A Billing Clerk opportunity is now available within a busy medical office located in Hamilton. This position offers 37.5 hours per week, daytime, Monday through Friday. Medical billing experience is not required but an asset.
Responsibilites:
- Data entry of physicians billing – Ohip, Wsib
- Submitting claims to Ohip
- Reconciling Billing issues ( health card rejections, billing errors)
- Billing Uninsured patients, Insurance Companies
- Following up with Third party billings (sending second bills etc..)
- Bad debting uninsured claims
- Wsib Forms – sending Wsib forms to Wsib electronically
- Manually paying Wsib forms in billing software
- Running Month End reports
- Processing Remittance Advices, reconciling errors
- Processing monthly statements for each physician with billing breakdowns
- Mail pick up and distribution for physicians
- Filing billing sheets
