We provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy.

What You Will Do:

CTN is looking for a permanent, full-time Local Site Assistant who will have key responsibilities for supporting the five Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) sites in the York region. This will include Health and Safety requirements and inspections, overseeing site resources for the safe and proper functioning of each site, liaising with building owners and maintenance personnel, and assisting with appropriate access and use by partner service providers and families. This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Services.

Responsibilities:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

•  Implement CTN Policies and Procedures for local site operations, asset management, and health and safety requirements in collaboration with the Corporate Service Coordinator Community and Family Coordinators and the Manager, Physical Development Services
• Address site needs, monitor safe site operation, and maintain an effective working relationship with co-located Network partners at the site
• Identify health and safety related issues which arise at local team sites and communicate these to the Corporate Services Coordinator 
• Complete monthly health and safety inspections at each site
• Inventory personal protective equipment (PPE) and other infection control supplies
• Track and order office supplies and other site supply needs
• Where applicable, and depending on the site, liaise with property managers, janitorial staff, maintenance, or security to address physical site issues
• Identify issues, trends, and report potential site concerns or risks to Corporate Services Coordinator
• Assist therapists in lending and receiving returned equipment
• Coordinate with the Equipment Loan Coordinator to transport equipment between sites as needed
• Collaborate with Community and Family Coordinators to plan and prepare sites for events and activities
• Participate in Network activities including committees, training sessions, family events and education sessions, as appropriate
• Initiate and participate in quality improvement projects to improve service at local sites to clients, families, and Network partners
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
• Other duties as determined by the Manager, Corporate Services and Corporate Services Coordinator

What We Need:

• Minimum of a college diploma (2-year program) in office administration or business administration
• Minimum of one (1) year of related office administrative experience in healthcare or social services environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail in high-pressure fast paced environments
• Ability to work as a collaborative team member
• Team member oriented with good decision making and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills in the use of time, records management, with the ability to prioritize workload
• Demonstrated business professionalism with respect to confidentiality, and the ability to recognize sensitivity and exercise good judgement, discretion, and accountability in all aspects of the role when dealing with clients, families, team members, and network providers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across the Network
• Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work flexible hours in support of requirements that may fall outside of the typical work hour framework
• Knowledge of the children’s service systems in Simcoe County and York Region considered an asset
• Lived experience as a person with a disability or a caregiver of a child with a disability and/or developmental needs is considered an asset
• Ability to communicate in French or other languages considered an asset
• Experience with and understanding of various cultures and cultural communities including Francophone, First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) communities considered an asset
• Certified First Aid considered an asset
• Demonstrated commitment to a safe environment for staff, clients and families by working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related policies

Selected Successful Candidate Will Be Required To:

• Produce a clear police record check with a vulnerable sector check prior to start of employment
• Be able to travel to assigned office, between CTN sites and/or other locations as required
• Any candidate being considered for employment at Children’s Treatment Network (“CTN”) must be able to provide supporting documentation to confirm their eligibility to legally work within Canada. Proof of eligibility includes but is not limited to a social insurance number (SIN), Canadian birth certificate, passport, citizenship certificate, permanent residence card, open work permit, or valid receipt from Immigration Canada of an application for a post-graduate work permit.

Starting Salary: $49,558

Salary Range: $49,558 – $55,064
