Chipman Hill Suites is a unique accommodation provider offering nightly and extended stays. We require a customer oriented individual to fill the key position of Innkeeper (Front Desk Attendant). We’re looking for an individual with strong core clerical skills and outstanding “people” skills.
The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a conservative, well-groomed, business-like appearance. He/she will be highly organized and very tidy about their work place and have a history of excellent attendance with their previous employers.
Duties will include the various functions involved with making reservations and taking guest service requests, the creation of invoices and processing payments, the creation of various reports, maintaining our online booking sites and reservation software, answering the telephone and data entry.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required, along with expertise in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word and Excel). Proficiency in reading and speaking English is essential, and candidate must be able to write, free of spelling and grammatical errors. Ease and total accuracy in basic mathematics is required. The successful candidate will notice small details, be able to read people and able to handle difficult situations in a calm and efficient matter. They must also be able to stay focused in a fluid work environment and be able to think outside the box to solve problems as they arise.
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday with some weekend or evening work, as well as on-call work required as business demands. Remuneration will be offered according to qualifications and experience.
