Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Manager of Community Services & Decision Support, the incumbent is responsible for payroll entry, staff scheduling, updating schedules on a daily basis and running staff reports as required. The incumbent is also responsible for the effective and efficient provision of administrative services for assigned areas; coordinates the appointment calendars for assigned Managers/Directors; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience
Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
Successful completion of a recognized secretarial/clerical/administrative training program preferred.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Two years secretarial experience, preferably in a hospital setting preferred.
Experience in payroll coding an asset.
Certification/Licensure/Registration

Qualifications and Skills
Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written required.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with the Churchill Health Centre’s internal structure, corporate policies and procedures and physical layout preferred.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have decision making ability, good judgment, initiative and the ability to prioritize.
Demonstrated time management skills, the ability to complete tasks and meet established deadlines required.
Typing 40 wpm required.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) preferred.
Working knowledge of the ESP Automated Staff Scheduling System and SAP payroll system preferred.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
