Job Summary

CIMT College is looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic Student Engagement Officer and Administrator to join our International Students Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing complete support to international students from registration to visa application and beyond, handling settlement services, and acting as the first point of contact for walk-ins and local international students. In addition, the Student Engagement Officer and Administrator will manage the International Helpline and Email, complete enrollment processes for approved visa students, and ensure confirmation of payments.

The position is a permanent full time opportunity and the incumbent is expected to work on site at the designated campus . Responsibilities

• Manage the International Helpline and International Email , forwarding calls and queries to the INT Admissions Team as necessary.
• Welcome international students and provide complete support from registration to visa application and beyond.
• Provide settlement services to international students.
• Complete the enrollment process for students approved for visas, transitioning them from pending to active status.
• Assist with further admissions into partner colleges as required.
• Act as the first point of contact for walk-ins and local international students.
• Confirm payments as required.
• Respond to a variety of general, regulatory and detailed settlement inquiries like purchasing insurance, information on accommodations and housing, graduation process and pathways etc.

Requirements And Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• Experience working with international students and an understanding of the issues that they may face.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with student information systems.
• Fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) will be an asset.
• Familiarity with private career college regulations and policies in Ontario

Education & Experience

• Diploma or degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in Student Support at any post secondary institution, is preferred
