ClearCalcs is a hyper growth and venture backed startup helping engineers to make better and faster decisions. Our first of its kind no code calculation builder has already been used to design tens of thousands of homes, and in turn house hundreds of thousands of people faster, cheaper, and safer, and we’re now looking for a passionate Product Designer to help make our user experience even more intuitive as we continue to grow and turn our audience from thousands into millions.
With offices in Melbourne, Australia, and remote teams based in Toronto, Canada, the US, and the Philippines, this role is offered fully remotely (reporting to Toronto), but with regular catch ups, as well as the opportunity for local and international travel and relocation support if desired.

What You’ll Achieve
- You’ll directly impact the course of a startup’s exciting growth by helping us become the first user-centric company in our industry
- Develop the company’s first design system and reusable component library
- Improve major portions of the product’s main interface, and take ownership of the initial design direction for an upcoming product in its early stages
- Work as part of the product team to iterate on user research, usability tests, interviews, and other design methods
- Work with our Product Manager to design solutions measured with data, so you can see the direct impact and value that you’re adding to our users
- Design thoughtful and compelling user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and UI specifications
- Uncover user pain points to design new solutions backed by testing and data
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to hand-off and clarify design requirements
- Participate in the discovery and planning of new features while helping drive the design vision across the product
What Would Make You An Ideal Fit
- Strong end-to-end UX/UI experience showcased through your portfolio
- 2-3+ years experience designing SaaS or web products that delight users
- Strong experience in delivering modern and seamless UI applications for web/mobile apps, and knowledge of native mobile design conventions.
- Experience in digital design including website design, development, and maintenance/user interfaces as well as an understanding of the foundations of front-end web development
- Experience conducting user interviews, usability tests, and other user research with real customers.
- You have a systematic approach that helps you to create high-quality, functional, and scalable designs.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
