Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development & Contracts, you will be responsible for defining the market requirements for current and future services while identifying business opportunities and closing sales as well as leading a team of Product Specialists/Sales Representatives below you. Travel to various client sites across Eastern Canada and Eastern USA will be required.
The successful candidate will lead thier team composed of Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Marketing, Proposals and Business Development to ensure that ClearStream’s Asset ArmorTM products and services are correctly communicated to the market, and will represent ClearStream at industry organizations, meetings, and events.
Our ideal candidate will be working out of either our Sherwood Park fabrication facility or Calgary corporate office.
What would you be doing?
Develop annual business plan, including market size & timing and sales win strategies
Prepare action plans for effective execution of opportunities, pursuit of new contracts, and realization of awards
Direct and coordinate activities involving your sales team, the Operations team, and the corporate Business Development team
Drive growth and expansion of ClearStream’s penetration into the applicable product market served by AssetArmorTM
Manage the performance and lead direct reports (Product Specialists Sales Team)
Driving increased sales and predictability of revenue
Maintain the company CRM as related to identified opportunities, clients, competitors
Analysis of sales data, forecasting, updating Operations to forecast opportunity pipeline.
Developing and maintaining sales and technical presentations for clients and internal stakeholders, and contributing to the development and maintenance of product sales documentation.
Directing the Product Specialists through the bid gate process for qualifying opportunities.
Monitoring and maintaining safe work environment, full integration into the operations and company safety program – completing safety documentation and following process in all locations of work, communicating with the client on our safety program and full up to date awareness of our safety statistics and innovation.
Promote our company’s research and development program with our clients, and actively pursue opportunities to integrate our new products with clients’ R&D groups.
Does this sound like you?
Minimum 7 – 10 years of experience in product sales as related to piping, fittings, valves, vessel, fabrication.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a management role with direct reports.
Ability to foster a collaborative working environment, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with business partners, employees, and business unit leaders.
Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances, having a high tolerance for ambiguity.
High level of problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Leadership skills with demonstrated ability and success in accomplishing objectives through innovative management techniques.
Existing relationships with key decision makers in Canadian Oil & Gas, EPCM, Midstream, and Industrial companies.
Proven history of sales management accomplishments and initiative.
Expert knowledge of the oil and gas industrial fabrication, project, maintenance and turnaround/shutdown business.
In depth sales training, as well as prospecting, sale-initiating and closing techniques.
Solid business acumen, with the ability to create and defend services and solutions.
Excellent negotiating skills, proven ability to truly understand client needs and concerns, and ability to meet those needs.
Ability to write clear market-driven service requirements.
Strong background in product sales of items such as pipe, fittings, valves, vessels, fabrication.
Background/understanding of welding, fabrication, weld overlay an asset.
