We’re looking for a mission-driven Program Manager, International Youth Internships who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB

• Develop and implement the project roadmap for the International Youth Internship Program
• Coordinate and oversee the recruitment of interns on an annual basis, including interview and selection
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with partner agencies in the Global South
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the funder, other GAC-funded agencies carrying out international youth internship programming, and with local partner organizations
• Develop and curate an organizational international disability inclusive research strategy

Requirements

Who you are:

Education and Certifications

• Degree or diploma in related field (International Development, Global Studies, Human Resources, Business, Diversity Studies), or equivalent work experience

Experience And Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience designing and administering frameworks and policies that support EDI initiatives
• Lived experience and personal understanding of equity-seeking concerns (for example: systemic racism, discrimination) an asset
• Functional bilingualism an asset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with all levels of staff
• Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset
• Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset
