Coalesce Management Consulting Looking for Construction Manager at Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area Full Time

For one of our key clients and prominent players within the Green Energy Sector, Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC), is searching for an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team and oversee the construction of our large-scale green energy facilities.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing all construction activities related to our significant green energy investment. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in construction management within the energy sector, capable of handling complex, high-value projects from inception through to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering, and sustainable construction practices.

Please note that you would initially work as an independent consultant (B2B) through CMC.

After approximately the initial year of working, you will be required to be onsite at the project location in North Dakota for the execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee all construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Site Management:

• Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
• Ensure that all construction work complies with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Resource Management:

• Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor and control project costs, implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
• Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all project participants.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
• Monitor and report on risk status, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure contingency plans are in place to address unexpected challenges.

Performance Reporting:

• Prepare and present regular reports on construction progress, costs, and risks to senior management and stakeholders.
• Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to measure project performance and progress.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure the consistency and reliability of construction work.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
