Accounting Specialist
Provides full cycle accounting and financial reporting activities, prepares financial statements and responds to annual audit activities.

Education and Experience
· Completion of post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance or any related field, or near completion of obtaining an accounting designation, or equivalent work experience
· Minimum 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting, period end close, year-end audit and account reconciliations.

· Financial Literacy – applies in-depth and advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and accounting systems in routine and non routine operations; knowledge of the preparation of financial statements and regulatory compliance reports (HST, EHT, AIR).
· Attention to Detail – Creates processes and tools when performing business accounting transactions including data validation, analysis, and visualization to validate accuracy and integrity of financial records; focuses on producing thorough and complete work when faced with tight deadlines; distinguishes relevant and irrelevant details when completing accounting and financial reporting work activities.
· Communication – uses effective communication skills when interpreting information and presenting to others, responding to stakeholder inquiries, and asking questions to clarify or follow up information.
· Problem Solving – applies financial, analytical and interpretation skills to support provision of accounting services; analyzes and identifies issues, options, and provides recommendation to achieve desired result.
· Client Focus – anticipates client needs to meet accounting regulations and internal financial policies, identifies ways to address them, follows up to confirm and keeps them updated.
· Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Excel; intermediate proficiency in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
Hiring Range: $87,361 – $92,835
Full Salary Range: $87,361 – $104,833
