Our client in North York is looking for a Lead Full-Stack Software Developer.

Role:

You are an experienced Full-Stack Software Developer with expertise in the Microsoft stack and Angular. You will be self-motivated, dedicated, and working 60% on the front end and 40% on the back end for a major project. You will be part of a team of developers, software architects, project managers, QA, and subject matter experts in a supportive environment that encourages continuous learning. You will be expected to lead solution decisions and review code for other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build high-quality code that meets business, security, and performance requirements
• Support, update, and troubleshoot a variety of existing applications
• Collaborate with a team of software developers to ensure requirements and deadlines are met
• Develop and support multiple projects as required, managing your own time appropriately
• Participate in project management, including daily attendance at scrum meetings and ensuring JIRA tasks are kept up to date
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to less experienced developers on the team
• Work with senior technical and business domain experts to design a variety of software solutions

Requirements:

• 5+ years of work experience as a full-stack developer
• Strong experience in Angular – version up to Angular 16
• Fluent in C# and expert knowledge of .NET
• Experience with MS-SQL, stored procedures, and database design
• Experience with middle-layer technologies including API and JWT
• Understanding of design patterns and frameworks, such as MVC and Entity Framework
• Experience with version control software (e.g., Git) and issue tracking software (e.g., Jira)
• Experience in Azure hosting and development environments is an asset
• Knowledge of GraphQL is an asset

Education:

• Post-secondary education in computer science, mathematics, or related field
• A background in actuarial science or financial mathematics, whether through education or work exposure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
