In conjunction with Quality Engineering and operations taking a leadership role in the development, and implementation of new automated and manual assembly lines as well as the continuous improvement and problem root cause resolution of current automated and manual assemblies from the perspective of process capability, process control, perishable tooling performance and process productivity/rate.

· On time delivery of customer requirements for APQP, PPAP, and Production Start-Up
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Full supervisory responsibility for direct reports in the Manufacturing Engineering department
· Provide leadership to all Manufacturing Engineering staff to ensure and promote personal growth Determine and develop training requirements
· Develop and maintain a customer oriented department strategy
· Assist in departmental budget process as it relates to new products and programs
Promote and enforce a safety conscious work environment
· Working with advanced manufacturing, quality engineering, and operations assist in implementing new automated assemblies and continuously improving existing assemblies in order to ensure long-term customer satisfaction, employee safety and welfare, and business economic success
· Responsible for purchasing and inventory control of all perishable tooling and tool inventory systems on a cell basis
· In conjunction with quality engineering complete the implementation of automotive operating systems including APQP, PPAP, and QOS as per ISO/IATF 16949 standards as they relate to process development including:
· Review and retain as records all fixture predictive check sheets performed by lead hands
· Debugging, run-off, and implementation of assembly lines, in conjunction with quality engineering
· Completion of run at rate process performance testing in conjunction with manufacturing operations
· As a member of the cell based MRB team and continuous improvement team, complete weekly manufacturing engineering status reports to document root cause resolution and ongoing process continuous improvement
· Work in compliance with the company Quality Systems, Safety Systems & Environmental Systems
· Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A degree in Mechanical Technology or Engineering or appropriate combination of education and relevant work experience
· Minimum 5 years of experience in the hands on process development of automated assembly line operations
· Excellent robot knowledge and PC based computer skills
· Good understanding of CNC processes
· Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/IATF 16949 operating systems
· Excellent communications, negotiating, conflict management, and problem solving skills
· Ability to interact and lead effectively at all levels of the organization

Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
