Connect Consulting Inc. Looking for Fleet Manager at Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area Full Time

Our client, a leading industrial and environmental services provider, is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible to oversee and optimize the company’s fleet operations and equipment management programs.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and oversee the fleet maintenance program for the company, in consideration of strategic initiatives, program efficiency, and liability exposure.
• Create and implement preventative maintenance programs for fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate and manage repairs and maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Provide tracking and analysis on fleet and driver information, hours of services regulations, logbooks, and other relevant compliance requirements.
• Verify driver files and annual reviews in compliance with the National Safety Code.
• Support the maintenance of Prorate and IFTA in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
• Monitor asset utilization and recommend replacements or upgrades as needed.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Assist and support operations and senior leadership as necessary.

Key Qualifications Include:

• Technical degree/diploma or equivalent fleet management experience will be considered.
• 5-7 years of progressive fleet management experience within industrial services, construction services or commercial trucking.
• Current knowledge of ELD systems and regulations around federal carrier profiles is required.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels within the organization, as well as external vendors and contractors.
• Strong understanding of computer-based programs; proficiency in Word and Excel is required.
