About the role
At CFI we are looking for an efficient Recruiter who will help organize, coordinate and carry out the recruiting activity for the team.
The successful candidate will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Working with hiring managers to know the ins and outs of their departments and better understand their hiring needs and job specifications.
Sourcing experienced candidates.
Screening applications and selecting qualified candidates.
Scheduling interviews; overseeing preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
Assisting with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
Collaborating with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
Ensuring compliance with Federal and Provincial employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Developing and releasing job postings on LinkedIn.
Maintaining a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other candidate relationships
Following up on interview process status and updates records in internal database
Providing coaching and guidance to hiring managers and other interviewers
Supporting any other special projects the team needs assistance with.
Role requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Recruiter (essential).
Experience with hiring in Canada and United States.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with BambooHR and LinkedIn Recruiter (or other recruitment systems).
Proficient with WorkSpace (Google) and Microsoft Office Suite.
A highly collaborative working style and have demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships.

CFI operates with a ‘remote first’ approach and all team members are provided with the necessaries to empower a productive work environment at home. The team works mostly from home and the office in Vancouver, Canada, is open and accessible.
Our recruiting efforts are adjusted to guarantee a fair, positive, and inclusive experience to all candidates. We are recruiting over the phone and managing team interviews using video conferencing. No meeting is taking place at our office at this time.
On-boarding is conducted virtually for new employees. Our tech team ensures all new hires are equipped with laptops and the resources they’ll need for their new role with us. So far, we have received very positive feedback from our new hires!
