General Accounting, Analyst

Location: Laval (4204 Industrial Blvd., Laval)

Hybrid mode: 3 days at the Laval office and 2 days remotely

Type of employment: Permanent (37,5 hours)

THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Accounting and Payroll Supervisor, as part of the Global Shared Services team, the Accounting Analyst will provide various period-end and quarter-end analysis.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare various period-end and quarter-end documents for analysis purposes;
• Analyze and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations using the Blackline tool;
• Analyze prepaid expenses and other types of expenditure: various taxes (property, school), maintenance contracts, etc.
• Perform bank reconciliations;
• Prepare periodic entries;
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the tools used in this position as well as in the improvement of procedures;
• Accounting for deposits;
• Execute preauthorized payments from franchisees;
• Invoice certain fees to external partners;
• All other related tasks.

What You’ll Need

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting OR equivalent experience

Experiences :

• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience

Knowledge And Skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel ;
• Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle;
• Analytical mindset;
• Concern for quality work, autonomy and initiative;
• Ability to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;
• Ability to work in a team and to communicate

Language Skills

• Bilingual (French and English).
