County of Brant Looking for Project Manager, Corporate Strategy at Paris, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in public administration, business administration, or a related field
• Five years’ progressive experience in a related field
• Excellent project management and facilitation skills
• Ability to balance multiple complex projects independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to develop and foster internal and external relationships
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Broad understanding of municipal business activities
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, and use ingenuity to solve unique challenges
• Strong political acumen and demonstrated political sensitivity with the ability to handle highly confidential matters with discretion
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, including Ontario statutes and municipal by-laws
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital project management tools

Job Duties:

• Lead and support projects or strategic initiatives identified in the County’s Strategic Plan, special projects assigned to the Corporate Strategy Division, or other critical corporate initiatives.
• Maintain, through consultation with the Senior Management Team, the master corporate projects list.
• Manage the County’s data streams for the World Council on City Data
• Organize and direct effective project teams and undertake multi-stakeholder engagement for the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
• Proactively research key priorities and municipal sector trends, and recommend options, new initiatives or solutions for consideration.
• Troubleshoot matters as requested and provide recommendations to aid in resolution while exercising judgement which may be political, sensitive and confidential in nature.
• Prepare reports and presentations to Council, Standing Committees, and internal and external committees and organizations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Current Salary Range: $83,938 – $98,189 (Job Grade 8) 35 hours per week
