Location: Nursing Services – The John M. Parrott Centre

Supervisor: Manager of Nursing Services

Hours of Work: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)

Salary Range: $47,684.00 to $55,764.80 per year plus a comprehensive benefit package

The John M. Parrott Centre is a fully accredited state-of-the-art, 168 bed Long Term Care Home owned and operated by the County of Lennox and Addington, in the Town of Greater Napanee. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic person for the position of Health Information Assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

· Two year Office/Business Administration Diploma

· Minimum of one year experience in an administrative role, with a focus on data management

· Previous experience in Long-Term Care is an asset

· Superior computer skills including spreadsheet and database management and presentation

· Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Demonstrated interpersonal, problem solving and critical thinking skills

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILILITES OF THE POSITION:

· Create and maintain databases to support staff and resident information requirements

· Gather, input and track data on staff, resident, essential caregiver and all persons entering the home (e.g. immunization, screening, swabbing, inventory)

· Prepare information reports for the Manager and Assistant Manager of Nursing and auditing requirements (e.g. infection, falls, wounds)

· Respond to general routine inquiries as directed by the MON and AMON

· Meeting support (scheduling, preparing and circulation of agendas/minutes, minute taking)

· Gather and prepare documentation for Nursing Management team, prepare and distribute correspondence

· Inventory management inclusive of ordering supplies as needed

· Resident chart management, create and maintain forms, back up support to other administrative positions and assist with special projects as requested
