Job Description Summary

We are currently hiring a University student for our Client Accounting department (Retail, Office and Industrial) at our Mississauga location. The successful candidate will be a part of our property management accounting team. This position calls for someone with strong organizational skills and would ideally suit an individual who is pursuing an accounting/finance degree.

Job Description

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Assist Accounting in implementation of Yardi system, as required: i.e. reconciliation between MRI and Yardi, data input, etc;
• Prepare utility and monthly accruals spreadsheets for review as well as various other schedules, as required;
• Assist in completing bank reconciliations;
• Prepare HST/GST reconciliations for review;
• Assist in quarterly forecast and yearly budget process in both Yardi and MRI, as required;
• Review Tenants’ accounts receivable;
• Assist in preparing Percentage Rent accruals for review;
• Other duties, reconciliations, and analysis, as required by Client Accounting.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Must be enroled in a Accounting/Finance program;
• Strong Communication and Organizational Skills;
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Windows Environment;
• Excellent inter-personal skills;
• Be self-motivated, diplomatic and able to work independently;
• Ability to prioritize time sensitive and heavy workload.
