Job Summary
Dalhousie Financial Services strives to provide the highest quality financial services and information to ensure the effective stewardship of University assets to the benefit of students and scholarly activities. Financial Services is a core service unit of the University, providing services in areas of financial accounting, budgeting, procurement and risk management, cash management, financial systems and policies, and the University’s endowment, pension and short term investment programs. Reporting to the Associate Director Finance Operations, the Financial Analyst, Tax & Payments, is a key resource person in taxation matters and payment card acceptance for campus, including compliance with merchant security standards.

The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.
Incoming incumbents may be required to enroll and pass the CPA Specialized HST/GST Public Sector Bodies Course during the probationary period if lacking equivalent training and/or demonstrated experience.
