Digital Lumens, Inc. Looking for Senior Full Stack Software Developer at Toronto, ON Full Time

Looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Developer will be working on the recently launched Encelium X Light Management System. Encelium X brings the customers a complete light management system that includes the intuitive Polaris software and a full portfolio of networked system devices — from advanced sensors to easy-to-use keypads. Encelium X has everything the customers need for exceptional lighting control today, from tunable white light to integrated audio/visual systems. And it’s designed for smooth growth in the future.

What you’ll be doing:

• Build applications targeting desktop, tablets and phones, that set up and control Smart Buildings

• Work closely with product management to come up with compelling interactions following user centered, mobile first design

• Participate in a collaborative environment with a cross-functional team

• Build with APIs and shareable functionality in mind

• Build out functionality that balances both the user experience and performance

What you’ve done:

• 4-5 years work in a hands-on development role

• 2-3 years of work in front-end web development

• 2-3 years of experience in production systems and supporting them

• Degree in computer engineering / science or equivalent work experience

• Understood the engineering aspects of software development (unit testing, continuous integration, API version compatibilities, code reviews, design docs)

• Experience with connected, event driven applications / asynchronous workflows

• Benchmarked, debugged and profiled applications

• Thrived in an agile, iterative, things-will-change-often environment

What you’ve experienced:

It would be nice if you knew:

• Data visualization / charting

• Containerization and Microservices

• Distributed systems, especially those that work with hardware (IoT)
