Responsibilities

Operations

• Plan, organize, direct and control the daily operational activities of the transport of goods to various customers ;
• Perform sound management of storage areas to ensure that order priorities are respected ;
• Plan and manage the fleet of delivery vehicles ;
• Maintain and improve operational processes for handling goods, labeling and packaging ;
• Prepare the annual inventory in collaboration with colleagues ;
• Participate in the development of the annual plan, while ensuring compliance with the established budget ;

Human Resources

• Plan workforce needs and carry out the selection, hiring, integration and ongoing training of staff in collaboration with the human resources department ;
• Ensure that the level and quality of staff in place is adequate to manage all tasks without delay throughout the year, while maintaining work and performance budget objectives ;
• Approve employee timesheets, manage absence requests and disciplinary files ;
• Establish the tasks of the employees under their responsibility by ensuring the achievement of objectives, compliance with company standards and policies ;
• Foster a climate conducive to productive exchanges, favoring teamwork ;
• Assess the performance of staff according to established criteria and set individual development objectives ;
• Ensure compliance with and application of occupational health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years or more of experience in a similar position ;
• Bilingualism is mandatory ;
• Strong business acumen focused on efficiency and productivity ;
• A strong interest in coaching and developing a team until it reaches its full potential ;
• Strong ability to lead, manage, inspire and mobilize a team ;
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and resolve their concerns with finesse and efficiency, adaptability and ease in understanding and improving operational processes ;
• Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities in order to manage effectively ;
