The Student Success Coordinator (SSC) works in a team environment to support student development and engagement and a sense of belonging and connection for DC students through all phases of the student life cycle. Using student development theory, best practices, and assessment initiatives to develop, the incumbent implements and coordinates programming to support the transition and retention of Durham College (DC) students. The SSC is responsible for the effective coordination of a first-year experience course and the development and coordination of additional programs designed to engage students, support their success and development, increase retention and foster the development of transferable skills. The incumbent will develop evaluation and assessment methods to measure the effectiveness of programming.
The SSC will contribute to the ongoing development of student transition, retention and leadership programming and lead the coordination of student leadership initiatives focused on fostering student engagement, skill development, and resiliency building. The incumbent will lead the strategic coordination of leadership workshops and sessions, provide coaching appointments, and coordinate the annual Student Leadership Summit and Student Leadership Awards.

Salary: Starting Rate: $36.19; Four Year Rate: $41.94

Hours: 35 hours per week (1) one hour lunch; Mon – Fri (8:30 am – 4:30 pm; evening shifts as required)
