The Role:
Dynaleo is seeking a Social & Digital Marketing Manager to join us in the fun, fast-paced Canadian cannabis industry. Social media is a critical channel in the cannabis marketing mix and we’re looking for a digitally savvy manager that can translate industry trends into compelling content strategy and promotional programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of social and digital strategy for the Dynaleo brand and its three product brands, via both owned channels and paid media campaigns. They will also manage our social communities and influencer relationships to ensure our messaging is consistent and impactful. This role can operate based out of our head office in Nisku, AB or via remote work-from-home for residents within Canada.
The Tasks:
· Plan and execute social and digital media strategy to deliver on brand and business objectives
· Develop paid media recommendations and manage results-driving social and digital media campaigns
· Plan and execute monthly social media content calendars, campaign-specific programs and ad hoc content requests, with the support of design and creative agency partners
· Plan and post website content with the support of design and creative agency partners
· Actively manage social communities and influencer relationships to grow our follower base, and respond directly to customer and partner feedback
· Create and maintain a KPI dashboard of social and digital media performance metrics, with a view to making actionable insights that optimize content and messaging
· Present insights-focused monthly results reports from our owned and paid channels
· Manage SEO strategy and initiatives with the support of third party content partners
Qualifications and Requirements:
· 5+ years experience actively managing social and digital media strategy and content for consumer-facing brands; experience in retail and/or cannabis marketing considered an asset but not a requirement
· Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, media, or journalism
· Experience planning, managing and optimizing paid social and digital media campaigns via tools like Google Analytics and Ad Manager
· Ability to translate business objectives into social/digital strategies and can identify the KPIs necessary to drive success
· Understanding of key SEO principles and a vision for harnessing those tools to build our brand and search engine ranking
· Hands-on experience with creative design or animation software tools, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, considered an asset but not a requirement
· Leverage your understanding and appreciation of cannabis to bring our brands to life through creative, engaging and edgy content
